19.00 Jonas Nordberg & Liam Byrne
19.40 Yair Elazar Glotman & Mats Erlandsson present Emanate
20.30 Lucy Railton

The evening will consist of three performances - the first act will be a duo performance by Liam Byrne & Jonas Nordberg focusing on the texture and timbre of the lute and viola da gamba. The second act is the Swedish premiere of the piece Emanate by Yair Elazar Glotman & Mats Erlandsson. Lucy Railtons GRM-commisioned piece for cello, electronics and 8 channel surround sound will close the evening.

Emanate is a long-form piece written by Yair Elazar Glotman and Mats Erlandsson for electronics and a small chamber ensemble. In this iteration of the piece the performers are Liam Byrne, Hillary Jeffery and Lucy Railton. The piece is an attempt to create a durational ensemble piece that offers the listener a possibility to follow along an elongated dramatic arch thus allowing for longer stretches of musical immersion. The music unfolds in collaboration and exchange with the musicians in the ensemble, so that time and space is allowed for each of the instruments to respond to the compositional basis and expand. The work will also be presented as a vinyl record on 130701 later in the spring.
