Mariam Wallentin is an artist who moves us to feel and reflect. With roots in improvisation, jazz, and the sounds of pop and soul, Mariam’s career has traversed diverse artistic landscapes. She recently released a solo album called Breathing Techniques and is also a core member of Wildbirds & Peacedrums as well as a driving force in the powerhouse jazz collective Fire! Orchestra. Wallentin continually pushes new musical boundaries.
Lumen Voices, with artistic director Katarina Henryson, is a flexible voice ensemble in size and style, that works with Improvisation and new music across and between genres.
Haga Vokalensemble is a choir based in Stockholm that consists of 13 singers. The choir was founded in 2020 by conductor Anton Alexis Hallgren.
Leo Svensson Sander , composer and cellist, spans classical, Scandinavian folk, and experimental music. He founded the avant-pop band The Tiny and has contributed to numerous albums and films, focusing increasingly on theater, film, and dance composition. Since 2019, he has performed with jazz harpist Stina Hellberg Agback in the duo Namna.
Johan Arrias, a Stockholm-based musician and composer, specializes in experimental and improvised music with saxophone and clarinet. He blends instrumental works, field recordings, electronics, and improvisation, emphasizing sound, place, and collaboration across various creative contexts.
This event is a special collaboration with Eric Ericson International Choral Centre.
