SHIDA SHAHABI is a Stockholm-based pianist and composer, whose stunning debut album 'Homes' drew widespread acclaim world wide. In 2023, Shahabi releases her second album, Living Circle, a carefully calibrated blend of classical and electronic elements. Combining ambient and drone techniques with traditional structures, its emotional resonance floats elusively within profoundly atmospheric, uncluttered compositions rich in textural detail and pervaded by a low-end warmth. An unusually immersive style, this provides a refuge which invites a reaction as cerebral as it is sentimental.
RYAN PACKARD is a percussionist and sound artist based in Stockholm. His solo percussion works and compositions for various ensembles can subtly or viscerally explode the minutia of timbral details that are formed between sympathetically resonating objects exposing their psychoacoustic properties. Ryan will present his composition ‘For Lying Down and Breathing’ together with Maya Bennardo and Emma Augustsson.
